Scot Morrison started undergrad as a mechanical engineering major but realized that he was spending his free time studying human performance. This eventually led to majoring in Exercise Science. After graduating with honors in 2008 Scot began working for a medical fitness center in south Florida where he soon assumed a management position. During his time there resumed his schooling and graduated with honors from the University of St. Augustine as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. He currently works as a Physical Therapist in Washougal, WA after a tedious cross-country move from his home state of Florida.
Professionally Scot has been very active in numerous organizations. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist though the NSCA and is the current secretary & treasurer of their Rehabilitation SIG. He held the VP position of the AAOMPT sSIG as a student and also served as the student member of the APTA’s Orthopedic Section membership committee. Scot is relatively recent to the publication field with a his first peer-reviewed article in publication and he has appeared as a guest blogger for a variety of therapy websites. He is active on twitter and manages the sports section sports performance SIG’s twitter account.
Among his many poor decisions as an undergrad Scot acquired a taste for scotch, signed up for an upper level logic course as a sophomore and came out the other end with a strong interest in the subject. He is a promiscuous reader, a terrible golfer, an avid fly fisherman, and a huge fan of various alcoholic beverages. All of his opinions are evolving, biased, and neither statically significant nor representative.
